European Winter Training 2025

Tai Chi Winter Training

January 18-25, 2025 in Götzens, Austria 

The European Winter Training 2025 will be held in the village of Götzens, in Austria. Götzens is 10 km southwest from the airport and train station in Innsbruck.

Götzens, nestled between the snow-capped and well-rooted Tirolean mountains, shows us an abundance of the different states of the Water element in Winter: snow, ice, crystals, steam, and streams. Surrounded by impressive mountains, blue skies, and clean crisp air, it is easy to palpably absorb the solidity of the earth and the openness to the heavens, inspiring us all to explore solid grounding, free-flowing energy, and creativity inside ourselves.

2025 will be our school’s 50^th anniversary! From the Götzens organizing team, our gift to the  50^th anniversary is to invite four of the LHAC members: Greg Woodson, Gerrie Sporken, Sherry Kent and Jonathan Stow to lead, teach and celebrate together with all of us. You are invited to join us doing tai chi and celebrating in an inspiring location.

All Apprentice Dates: Saturday, January 18^th (arrival day) through Saturday, January 25^th (departure day)

8th Level: Thursday, January 16^th (arrival day)

Location: Town Hall: Burgstrasse 3, 6091 Götzens.

Lodging: As lodging space in the Götzens area is limited, please reserve your lodging now, or as much ahead of time as soon as you possibly can. Ask us for a list of lodging locations that may still be free.

Tai-Ski: If you ski, you are invited to stay a few extra days afterwards to ski in the fresh mountain air and explore together how Tai Chi principles apply to skiing. If you don’t ski, you might also like to stay a few days longer to take walks & enjoy Winter’s peacefulness in the mountains.
