Here is the only extensive interview Patrick Watson gave in his lifetime, according to the interviewer, Andrew Dell’Olio who published this slightly condensed version in 1993. Included are memories from some of Patrick’s students. At the end are some of Patrick’s additional responses which were in his original interview, but cut out from this condensed version.
At the time the interview took place, Patrick, who was still active as the founding Director of the School of T’ai Chi Chuan, mentions he was 55. Two years after this interview took place, he passed away.
Thank you to David Goodell and Margaret Olmsted (MO) who shared the two interview versions from their out-of-print T’ai Chi Press magazines to make this possible. The condensed interview is from Vol. I, No IV, 1993.
The original interview is from Vol. I No II, 1992. Annette Peizer
