Having practiced Tai Chi Chuan since 1998, I experienced the benefits of the slow rhythmic movements as incredibly grounding and centering. On the other hand, working as an architect and environmental consultant was a source of stress - managing workload, deadlines, fees, clients, etc. One gave me balance, and one unbalanced me.
After serving in the Royal Netherlands Navy for 7 years, Joop studied Social Sciences and did his dissertation on the treatment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. He then worked as a counsellor in the Netherlands Health Service. Having studied Tai Chi since 1982 and an interest in offering a more holistic form of treatment has led him to study acupuncture in 1994.
Roy Capellaro is a physical therapist and teacher whose work focuses on the bridge between energy and structure. He practices Zero Balancing, Cranial Sacral therapeutics and hands-on physical therapy. He has studied with Osteopaths, M.D.‘s, acupuncturists, homeopaths and healers. He maintains private practices in New Paltz and Nyack, NY.
